CanDu Donates to The Last Prisoner Project for the Holidays

Happy Holidaze canna community!


This year, we couldn't think of a more worthwhile cause than to help those in our community who have been impacted most by the war on cannabis. In lieu of gifts this year, CanDu has made a donation to The Last Prisoner Project. Donations like these will help with: - Prisoner Release: The core focus of LPP's work is ensuring the release of incarcerated cannabis prisoners. They accomplish this through state and federal cannabis clemency programs, compassionate release efforts, and resentencing policy campaigns. - Record Clearance: A criminal record can be a significant barrier to employment, housing, financial assistance, and more. This is why they work to advance—and ensure the proper and complete implementation of—broad, automated and state-initiated record clearance programs. - Reentry Support: Reentry programs work to reduce recidivism rates by providing the funds, professional support, and educational resources their constituents need upon release. Collectively these programs help cannabis prisoners become fully free.
